Welcome to Ashcroft High School

Anti-bullying

Through our culture and ethos we work very hard to produce an environment that is supportive and where everyone feels safe. However, we realise that bullying does take place. We are ever-vigilant and will respond swiftly, carefully and thoroughly to address any issue that comes to light. We have a well-developed anti—bullying policy which the school will follow when bullying incidents occur.

Interschool spelling bee competition

Representing the school in the interschool spelling bee competition held at Lea Manor High School on 19th October were:

Elaine Cimatu (Y9) and Sumayyah Khan Y8)

It was an amazing experience and the girls made us very proud, with their good behaviour, smart appearance and confident performance.

Both girls received medals and Elaine came third out of the six schools represented. There was a speed round which put the competitors under immense pressure and then a knockout round where our girls coped well under the conditions.

A special mention goes to Nadia Hussian and Megan Nixon who had been runners up in the school competition; they were in the audience as supporters and showed tremendous team spirit.

We are looking forward to next year already.
