Admissions

We believe that Ashcroft High School should serve the needs of the children in our local community and those outside our catchment area who choose to come here. Students are admitted without reference to ability or aptitude up to the planned admission number of 234.The school operates an equal preference system which means applications will be considered according to set criteria regardless of any indicated preference ranking.

Year 7 Talent Show

‘On the 16th October, several very talented Year 7 students took part in their first performance at the theatre in Ashcroft High School. A superb night was had by all, and the audience loved it. Look out for the next talent show, coming soon.

SSF

On Friday 8th November 17 Ashcroft High School students are taking part in the Shakespeare Schools Festival at Luton Library Theatre, performing Much Ado About Nothing. Students have been rehearsing since September and are looking forward to finally performing on the stage at the Library Theatre. Look out next year to see how you can get involved.

KS3 Panto

Just before half term students in Year 7-9 auditioned for parts in this years KS3 Panto – Scrooge! Students begin rehearsals the week commencing 10th November and will be performing to local Primary schools in December. Students will also perform as part of the Christmas Concert in December. Look out for more information to find out how you can get tickets, or be involved next year.

The new Ashcroft; Grand openingĀ 

In February 2013 the school’s 3 year building programme finally came to an end and we moved into the newly completed parts of the school.

The famous actor, Colin Salmon, ex-deputy head boy at Ashcroft was, our guest of honour at our grand opening celebrations on the 15th July 2013. Fiona McGlone was our second guest of honour. Ashcroft staff and students were joined by guests from across and beyond Luton. Our guests were entertained by the Ashcroft student choir, the Ashcroft band, and the Ashcroft Dance Company.

A vacancy can be created by additional source of funding becoming available attached to a specified role, or can become necessary due to increased workload requiring additional resources.
