Forced Marriage

A forced marriage is a marriage where one or both people do not (or in the case of some people with learning disabilities, cannot) consent to the marriage and pressure or abuse is used. An arranged marriage is not the same as a forced marriage. In an arranged marriage, the families take a leading role in choosing the marriage partner, but the choice of whether to enter the marriage is left to both people. A marriage must be entered into with the full and free consent of both people. Everyone involved should feel that they have a choice.

Community Leadership

teamsix

TEAM  SIXTEEN is a new intra school football programme that provides leadership opportunities for our students, through being placed in organising roles on our student management committee. The student have designed and implemented this programme to meet the needs of other students within the school. They will also have the opportunity to complete an F.A Junior football Leaders qualification, and will gain further opportunities to work within the local community.
Ashcroft High School was very privileged to chosen to host the Team Sixteen regional launch. Further pictures can be seen in the picture gallery.
