We are delighted as of October 2013 that Ofsted inspectors rated Ashcroft High School officially a GOOD school.
A short inspection in January 2018 reconfirmed this.
Inspectors were particularly impressed with the following areas, highlighting them as strengths and offering comments of praise:
“You provide highly effective, visionary leadership that is rooted in a passion for every pupil to achieve their very best.”
- School ethos
“The ethos you promote is based on the school being ‘one large family’, having high aspirations for all pupils.”
- School values
“Pupils show maturity around the school and have an in-depth understanding of the school’s aims to be ‘respectful, responsible and resilient’ in their day-to-day school life.”
- Achievement and progress
“Pupils achieve well at Ashcroft High School because of your ambition to make sure that they all make good progress.”
“Governors offer a good level of challenge to school leaders, check progress with school plans carefully and are very actively involved in the life of the school.”
