Travelling to school

We have been working very closely with Centrebus for the last year and this has resulted in the introduction of our very own 819 Ashcroft Bus route since September. We are delighted to inform you that from January 2020, the 819 service will be coming onto the school site to allow students to get off the bus at school reception in the morning and then get straight onto the bus at reception at the end of the school day. This new arrangement comes following feedback from parents who have said that they would prefer students to board and leave the bus on school premises so that they can be safer on their journey to and from school. The 819 route and timetable can be found on our website. For your child to use this service, they will require either a Centrebus or Hip Hop ticket. Students who use this service to travel to school will be able to attend breakfast club and have their free breakfast. Please note that only the service to school at 8:00am and from school at 2:55pm will come onto the school site. The bus drivers are unable to prevent your child from getting off the bus at other points along the route, so please speak to your child and encourage them not to get on or off the bus at any other stops except the school site. At the end of the school day, students will need to use the Ellis block pedestrian gate to walk round to reception to wait for the bus.
